Salvation is not earned
You are not saved by a prayer, a church, a ritual, or your good works. You are saved by Jesus Christ when you trust Him by faith.
Turn to Christ
Tell God the truth about your sin. Ask Him for mercy. Trust that Jesus died for sinners and rose again. Receive Him as Savior and Lord.
A prayer you could pray
Lord God, I know that I have sinned against You. I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus Christ died for sinners and rose again. Please forgive me, save me, and help me follow Jesus from this day forward. Amen.
The words themselves do not save you. Christ saves. The prayer is simply one way to express repentance and faith.
What should I do next?
- Begin reading the Bible. The Gospel of John is a good place to start.
- Pray honestly to God.
- Tell a mature Christian that you want to follow Jesus.
- Find a Bible-believing church.
- Ask about baptism.
